Wow, what a great Saturday morning kettlebell drop-in! I decided to take Craig's drop in class as I was in between clients.

We had an awesome turnout for the first session! Guys and girls were sweating and working super hard- it was an 800 calorie class this morning (with all the quads we did, it might have inched us closer to 1,000!)

Quite a few new faces in the class, new to kettlebell that is, but of course some of our die-hard clients were there too.

WaterRowing- Row!!!!

What a success the inaugural Meltdown event was last night, March 26, 2010 at Core.

We had a fantastic turnout, we sold out! The feedback has been phenomenal and it great way to welcome Craig Guthrie to Core Essentials.

It was also great to see that over half of the people involved had never touched a kettlebell or ridden the RealRyders.

Well there are only five more days to the  first ever Meltdown at Core Essentials on Friday March 26. The response has been phenomenal. We are super psyched for the evening.

We have DJ Scott Rideout from True North DJ Services, he'll be spinning and mixing tunes all night long!

We've got some great prizes up for grabs. The grand prize being one free registration to our weekend Fitness & Wellness Fall Retreat. This includes accommodation, meals and of course fabulous workouts and nutrition.

I love the idea of bringing a friend to workout. So for the month of February you can do just that!

February is 'Bring A Friend FREE' month at Core Essentials and I thought I would explain this a little better for everyone.

So here it is: You can bring the same friend once this month, but if you happen to be here 3-4 times per week, you can bring a different friend each time you come- how fun!

It's hard to believe that January is almost over, the month has flown by!

I am sending out a blog this month because we have a new newsletter software that is a wee bit more challenging than I thought it would be; so it's going to take some more tutorials before you see the new newsletters. I will send one out mid-February with the March listings. Now that I’ve given you a date, I am committed to learning the software before then!

UPDATE: [Saturday January 23rd] We managed to raise $550 from our 'Zumba for Haiti' fundsraiser on Wednesday with some more donations expected to come in this weekend.

Again - a huge thank you to the 30 ladies that showed up for the Zumba for Haiti class at the Super 8 Motel in Dartmouth, who kindly donated the space.

The first week of January has been a busy week at Core, new classes started and we've been able to meet a lot of new people in the community.

The RealRyder schedule got underway and as we knew it would be, people are loving the experience. We have an amazing group of instructors who all bring a little something different to each of their classes.

I have had a wonderful few days off and am ready and energized to get back to classes and workshops.

The first week in the new space has been phenomenal, I want to thank everyone for their support. Our regular schedule has been running as per usual and the free demo classes were a hit!

The feedback on the WaterRowers has been so wondeful, people love the sounds and feeling of the water and they row.

Kettlebell classes are schedule to begin on September 8. Join us for an incredible workout that combines both cardio & resistance training in one workout. Looking to build long lean muscle- this is the workout for you.

The kettlebell provides a ful body functional workout that is unlike any other workout you have experienced.

Register early as the class fills quickly and we only take 10 participants.

We'll be taking advatange of the great fall weather, working out at the Dartmouth Commons, twice a week.
