Kettlebells are the hottest new training tool that aren't really so new.
A kettlebell is a functional training tool; that looks like a canon ball with a handle.
The first written mention of a kettlebell was found in a Russian dictionary in 1704. Girya's were first used as counter balances on scales in Russian markets. Farmers began to swing and juggle them and the first formalized training with kettlebells was with the Russian Military and athletes.
So what is so special about these cast iron weights?
Kettlebells are not used in the same manner as dumbbells. The mere shape and unstable nature of the bells forces the entire body to be used during training.
