A Halifax based crew of us makes the journey over the bridge at lunchtime MWF for continued torture, I mean classes with Mr. Guthrie and it has been "working out" fantastic.

Great Instructor, Great Class

The class was by far the best spin class I've been to - Mike was a great instructor and it was nice to have him lead the RealRyder class.

He talked to us before the class and shared some basic information. When the class started he threw in some commentary along the way to make the time fly and was very personable.

An Adult Approach to Fitness

I started spin classes with Laurissa starting in 2007 and enjoyed her approach more than any other instructor I have had in my life. She helps you find your drivers by listening, researching, explaining in plain English, and encouraging without being loud or pushy.

Laurissa's own fitness is a model for others. She energizes her practice through curiosity and passes what she has learned on to her students. A truly adult approach to fitness.

WaterRower & RealRyder Classes Rock

I've been going to the WaterRower classes at Core Essentials for a few months now. At first i was a little skeptical - but i have to say, i love the way I'm feeling. They have built up muscle in my back, arms, shoulders and my core strength is the best its been in years. Our instructor (Elvira) has introduced new and interesting routines which makes the classes fun and challenging. I look forward to the classes and will sign up again.

Found Laurissa in Fall 2009

"I do not like to exercise.  At all.  But I know that it is very good for me and therefore I should do it. With that background in mind, I found Laurissa in the fall of 2009 and made a commitment to myself to do 10 personal training sessions over 4 weeks. 

We trained outside for each of the sessions and I never knew what to expect as each session was so different.  Suddenly, I was more interested in working out and motivated to do so.  I attribute this all to Laurissa.  She is highly competent, personable and fun to train with.

Core Essentials - Get Fit & Have Fun At The Same Time

In my younger years I used to consider myself an athlete, and then somehow many years had passed and I realized that I had turned into a couch potato.  Sure, over time I had bought various gym memberships only to try them for a short while and then shortly shift back into my no exercise lifestyle. This always made me feel defeated.

Then this past August, my friend invited me to a kettlebell demo session that she had heard about.  I went and Laurissa put us through our paces.  It was the most fun and best exercise I had experienced in years.
