Best of Halifax Awards

I would like to thank all of The Coast readers who voted for me in the ‘Personal Training’ section of the ‘Best of Halifax’ awards this month.

I was placed in the Bronze medal position – which was quite something as I didn’t even realize that I’d been nominated!

We got the keys to the new building this afternoon- it was very exciting!

What a great feeling to walk in to the building this evening; I even ran a bootcamp in there tonight. It was nice to see how the new space would work.

I am looking forward to spending time in the space organizing, cleaning and moving in our things.

Our signage is due to be installed tomorrow and even a new flag is going up on the building.

Things are starting to arrive for the new space. The WaterRowers came in yesterday, the foam rollers are here, the swipe cards and scanner for the punchcards are here.

We are building the RealRyder schedule with our top notch teach of instructors- the best HRM has to offer.

It's all very exciting watching everything come together!

3 kettlebells

As most of you know I train with my trainer twice a week. I love the challenge and the fact that he pushes me harder than I could/would push myself.

It's great to get the feedback and continue to develop, this allows me to grow as a trainer for my own clients.

Well...today was a stellar workout and he even brought in an audience to watch. Well, I am sure as you are aware once people are watching you tend to perform to highest ability. I had no problem with the other trainers coming in but man I went all out!!!

As I look back over the last year, it has been an interesting and challenging one for me. I started the summer of 2008 having just completed P90X & P90X+, I was feeling strong but a little injured from the repetitive strain on my body from all the training & teaching I was doing in and out of the gym, plus my nutrition program and working.

Well, we are already in to week 2 of some of the new classes.

I wanted to congratulate one of my Booty Boot Campers for being down 5 pounds already!!! That's after 3 sessions of working the booty and good nutrition. Great work!

September is turning out to be a beautiful month for being outdoors.

We started the kettlebell class this evening at the Dartmouth Commons- what a great group of ladies, we have some newcomers and some alumni (which is always nice).

Stay tuned as we start planning our classes for October.

Thank you Halifax for coming out in full force to all of our kettlebell classes at Lululemon.
We had a blast these past 2 Monday evenings.

My Boot Campers are doing a phenomenal job. of of my fellow Booty Boot Campers is down 17lbs. She is doing an awesome job and people are really noticing the huge difference, not only is she dropping the weight but she is gaining muscle mass.

I couldn't be prouder! My Dartmouth Booty Boot Camp crew was featured today on a ParticipAction video.
