Granola Bars/Energy Bars
I wanted to share one of my favourite granola bar recipes with you. My kids love them and they are so healthy and most importantly you know what's gone in to them. They are even great for breakfast if you are on the run. I have been known to break them up and pour almond milk on them for the kids in the morning! Shh our secret...
As many of you know I do not eat dairy, gluten or refined sugars, so this recipe works out great and has loads of taste.
Reflection
As I look back over the last year, it has been an interesting and challenging one for me. I started the summer of 2008 having just completed P90X & P90X+, I was feeling strong but a little injured from the repetitive strain on my body from all the training & teaching I was doing in and out of the gym, plus my nutrition program and working.

I received a certificate of merit for academic excellence.
As an RHN our role my role is to with clients to identify and help correct the nutritional causes of diseases, as well design personalized diet and lifestyle programs that optimize health.
Healthy Living Generates a Positive Mindset!

My opinion of diets is not very good. I think they suck.
99.9% of them. If someone is trying to lose weight the last
thing I recommend is for somebody to go on a diet.
Why? You see most diets do nothing but cause you to lose
weight. It's a serious problem. I know your asking yourself
"but don't I want to lose weight?" Yes and no. I've
probably confused you by now. You see, you don't want to
lose weight, you want to lose fat!
Bridal Nutrition: Excuse Me, Miss? Are You Getting Married? Don't Forget Your Diet to Look Better Naked!
As a personal trainer and bootcamp instructor I have worked with a lot of people. But I find the ones that get the best results are the ones that have a set deadline of when they need to accomplish their goals. One of the better examples of this is a woman who is about to get married. The brides to be have a set wedding date. They know exactly how many days it is until that big day-usually the biggest day of their lives. So you think it would be pretty important to look better than they ever have before, and be able to fit into that dream dress.
The Boot Camp for Brides update 1
The Brides were out in full force last night in the park. We were visited by a cuddly Portugese Water dog that lunged along with us. Great work out ladies.
