Zumba for Haiti Fundraiser
UPDATE: [Saturday January 23rd] We managed to raise $550 from our 'Zumba for Haiti' fundsraiser on Wednesday with some more donations expected to come in this weekend.
Again - a huge thank you to the 30 ladies that showed up for the Zumba for Haiti class at the Super 8 Motel in Dartmouth, who kindly donated the space.
We also wanted to thank Martha Paynter for her excellent class and donating her time. Martha will continue with her regular Zumba schedule at Core Essentials; Mondays at 7:15 and Wednesdays at 7:15 at our space at 50 Queen Street, Dartmouth.
Look out for more Zumba instructors coming to Core Essentials in February.
As most of you know I try not to inundate you with blogs and only try to send out things that I feel are important and relevant.
There are two upcoming events in the city that I wanted to talk about and encourage you to get involved for good causes.
Zumba for Haiti - on January 20 from 7:15 - 8:15pm, Core Essentials will be offering a special Zumba dance class where 100% of the proceeds go to 'Doctors Without Borders' Haitian Relief.
The class will take place in a function room at the Super 8 Motel on King Street in downtown Dartmouth, across the street from Core Essentials. The space was generously donated by the Super 8 Motel.
The cost for this class is $15. For more information on Doctors Without Borders & Zumba for Haiti, read our page.

Bust A Move for Breat Health - Six hours of aerobics, world record-setting activities, ambitious fundraising goals, and the chance to make a huge impact in the lives of Nova Scotia women. On January 30th, 2010, these four things will combine to create an event unlike any other. Richard Simmons is coming to Bust a Move.
For more information please check out Bust A Move.

We had such an amazing turnout on Wednesday night for the Zumba for Haiti given the weather. We were a little nervous that it would keep people away but people turned out in droves! Thank you!
We raised $555 for Doctors Without Borders. The total donation with the goverment matching is $1,110.
Thank you to all who came out and shook your stuff for such a great cause!
